Leadership
So our current leader is inactive and it is bringing our guild down. Our Leader has already tried to change leadership but it didn't work and now he is never on. So could you guys just manually change the Leader or even kick the current leader out because we don't want to make a new guild because this one has been through a lot. It will help our guild a lot!

Hey Ritchie980-
I'm pretty sure you've already reported this on the forums a few times, so not really much need to keep reporting it.
However, is your guild unable to Elect a new leader? Election should be able to be initiated by your highest power guild member.

Re: Leadership
I know there should be a election button at the guild page but there isn't

Re: Leadership
Creating an 'Election' button would be a coup on someone else's guild. Someone's hardwork.
The leader is the one who sets it up, or is the person who gets it after the leader decides to leave

Re: Leadership
But our leader has already agreed on making a new leader and he is alright if we get rid of him

Re: Leadership
The election button only appears when the guild leader has abandoned the guild.
Basically, it goes:
Guild leader leaves guild, highest power guild member then has an option to start an election, guild elects new leader. As it looks like your leader is still a member of the guild, this is why you wouldn't see this option.
However, we do feel this is overly complicated and confusing (and doesn't address the issue of if a guild leader simply stops playing), so we are considering alternatives to this in the future.
If, however, you are stating that you don't have the option for election at ALL, even if your guild leader has left- that's a different issue and one we would need to look into.

It seems like the reason why not is because they would basically have to take your word for it that the leader has actually abandoned the guild. There's not really any way for them to verify your story. Even his last played time doesn't say why he isn't playing. It would end up where PlayNext would have to start arbitrating disputes between players.
Honestly, I think the easiest route would be for you to just make a new guild and invite all the current members of your current guild to it. Might be a little complicated, but really won't take that long.

This pretty much sums it up. It's a situation that has too much potential to go wrong. However, the current system does have potential issues within it as well- we're definitely looking into improvements for it.

Re: Leadership
What about creating a ranking system (a la Lingdoms of Camelot:BftN) http://kocbftn.wikia.com/wiki/Kindoms_of_Camelot_-Battle_for_the_North_Wiki
Chancellor
/\
Vice Chancellor
/\
Officer
/\
Grand Marshal
/\
Vice Marshel
/\
Member
NB: Only Chancellor and VC can give positions, and when a Chancellor (leader) steps down VC steps in

Re: Leadership
Ritchie, that is a brilliant idea. I would be all for the ranks, especially the naming of the ranks in a guild. They should make that happen in the next update.
